Je lis, je comprends! (I Read, I Understand!) – Full Kit

This kit will:

• Develop understanding of student text (with the help of a comprehension page of text per book)
• Improve vocabulary and grammar (average 220 words per book)
• Support students needing new challenges (with the help of a “challenge” page per book)
• Increase interest in reading (with the help of amusing pictures and activities such as “find the animal” in the pictures presented on each page of the book)
• Stimulate learning (with a different magnetic game per book)
• Expand the students’ French world, at school as well as at home by giving parents the necessary tools (including a CD and English translations)
• Develop literacy and numeracy (using all the included activity pages)

This kit contains:

• 31 books from the collection arranged in individual plastic bags
• 31 compact discs with Radio-Canada voices and different sounds for each book indicating when to turn the page
• 31 different pages in English, to help parents (one page for each book)
• 31 different magnetic games (one game for each book)
• 31 different comprehension pages with text and self-correction (one for each book)
• 31 laminated self-correction pages (one page per book)
• 31 different “challenge” pages composed of a variety of questions (one “challenge” page per book)
• 31 pages of stickers including 30 motivational words
• 1 teacher’s guide containing all the necessary instructions
• Activity “find the animal” on each page of the books
• Professional pictures representing several cultures
• Three principal characters and about 60 other recurring characters in the 31 books, allowing all children to identify with at least one of them
